Hair-raising, heart-stopping music. Cheers that rise from the floor to the ceiling and back again. Laughter. There’s a name for this sound. But what is it?
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18-20, Rock the Leaves is celebrating 10 years of unforgettable music, exciting activities and delicious food with—well, even more music, activities and food.
During this three-day concert fest, the Minot Municipal Auditorium will be filled with music from national and local artists like Grammy winner Switchfoot, Big Daddy Weave, Kody Ternes, Plumb, Manic Drive, Random Hero, Bread of Stone and more. Intertwined with the live music will be food, vendors, face painting, inflatables and a photo booth, among other family-friendly activities.
And this year, for the first time ever, Rock the Leaves is partnering with Minot’s Team Red, White and Blue to hold a “Rock the Red, White and Blue” 5K Saturday, August 20 at 10 a.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m. Sign up and get a free t-shirt, race bib, water and snacks, all while supporting Team RWB, whose mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. A portion of the proceeds from the 5K will go to Team RWB and continue Rock the Leaves’ commitment to serve as a platform to raise awareness for individuals and groups in need within the community. Tickets are $25 for the 5K or $35 for a 5K and full event pass combo.
Tickets for Rock the Leaves are $45 for a three-day pass or $25 Thursday, $25 Friday and $10 Saturday. Youth prices and military, senior and MSU student discounts are also available. For the full schedule of events, tickets, 5K info and more, check out the Rock the Leaves Facebook page or www.iamrtl.com.
Hair-raising, heart-stopping music. Cheering. Laughter. It’s the sound of aspiration and the sound of hope. It’s the sound of Rock the Leaves. But don’t take our word for it—go listen for yourself.
